We love that Cooper was finally able to play a soccer match (no cancellation due to rain) and will hopefully have another game tomorrow as a make up match from last week. We'll see, as it's due to rain tomorrow...

If you are in support of Green efforts, Frito-Lay uses solar power in it's Modesto, CA plant. The solar panels there generate enough energy to produce the Sun Chips line for the entire year. Frito-Lay is working to make it's Casa Grande, AZ plant completely self reliant and energy wise, as well by the year 2010.

Onslow Beach.

We went to try a walking class with our Meetup group and couldn't find them (don't know how, but I'm sure we turned the wrong way) but instead, the three of us spent an hour walking on the beach, finding seashells, discovering sand crabs, and having a great time!

Girl In The Plastic Bubble

Our Crafty Campers - Valentine Edition

C&A have been enrolled in a little over a month now in "Crafty Campers", a craft class at the base ceramics studio. It's for 2 to 4 year olds, and they make, on average, 2 crafts per class, with at least one ceramic or pottery class each session. They seem to have fun, but it amounts to Mom mostly running from one to the other, smearing paint, cleaning brushes, cutting clay, wiping hands, putting a kid back in a seat, retying a smock, etc, etc. But in the end, we get these cool pieces of art to treasure!

Saturday was Cooper's second game. He has a new coach (the first broke her tailbone and is out the rest of the season). His new coach, Ms. Brittney, put him in goal, and once again, he did an outstanding job!
